Praxair China signs contract with Oxiranchem Yangzhou

Praxair China (Shanghai; www.praxair.cn) has signed a long-term contract with Oxiranchem Yangzhou Co. to supply on-site industrial gases to their chemical park located in the Jiangsu province.
Oxiranchem Yangzhou Co. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Liaoning Oxiranchem, Inc.; www.oxiranchem.com), a National Key High-Tech Enterprise of China in the fine chemical industry. Oxiranchem produces ethylene oxide, fine chemicals and related derivatives.
Praxair China will construct and operate an air separation plant with a capacity of 500 ton/d of oxygen, which is planned to start-up in 2014. The plant will supply oxygen and nitrogen to the Yangzhou Chemical Industry Park for the production of 200,000 ton/yr of ethylene oxide and 300,000 ton/yr of derivative fine chemicals at the Oxiranchem Yangzhou Co. project located within the same park.
