Albemarle expands antioxidant manufacturing capabilities in China

Mary Page Bailey

Albemarle Corporation (Baton Rouge, La.; www.albemarle.com), a developer and manufacturer of antioxidants for the polymers, fuel and lube industries, has announced that it completed installation of a granulation and blending system in Shanghai, thus adding capacity and product forms to the portfolio. This increases Albemarle's total one-pack capacity to over 10,000 metric tons/year (m.t./yr), and adds the capability to make one-pack formulations of up to eight components. Albemarle's stand-alone one-pack shop in Shanghai, China now has the capability of producing non-dusting antioxidants in both granules and pellets.
