Neste Jacobs and National Bioproducts Institute sign a biopharma agreement

Technology, engineering and project-management company Neste Jacobs Oy (Porvoo, Finland; www.nestejacobs.com) and the South African plasma fractionation company National Bioproducts Institute (Pinetown, South Africa; www.nbi-kzn.org.za) have signed a service agreement covering production consulting, engineering and executing of services related to plasma fractionation processes.
Under the agreement Neste Jacobs will carry out engineering, procurement, construction/installation, qualification, and validation services for National Bioproducts Institute in South Africa. Neste Jacobs' expertise in plasma fractionation unit operations, operational aspects and knowledge of particular features of plasma fractionation processes has made the company a leading partner in the field. The agreement between the two companies aligns with Neste Jacobs' strategy to assist governments and other health care providers worldwide to become self-sufficient in the manufacture of blood plasma products.
