This display unit merges an HMI with a PLC
The Perspecto CP television merges a human-machine interface (HMI) with a programmable logic controller (PLC) in one package. Traditional configurations utilize separate PLC hardware and software, and HMI hardware and software, the company says, but the Perspecto CP is a comprehensive logic and visualization solution that reduces overall costs and development time. The hardware features five sizes of touchscreen and an expansive selection of ports. The unit features IEC 61131-compatible software that is an all-in-one development tool for the logic programming and graphic screen editing. With this unit, operators can capture trend, data or alarm information and open it in spreadsheets for analysis. The Perspecto CP also has an integrated Web server and an FTP server. — Wago Corp., Germantown, Wisc.
