New explosion-proof actuator for chemical applications

This company now offers its new SQEx.2 part-turn actuator  — the explosion-proof version of its SQ actuator, which was introduced at the beginning of 2013. In line with qualification requirements for hazardous environments, the SQEx.2 meets the European ATEX and International IECEx standards. An explosion-proof SQREx version for modulating duty is now also available. Designed for butterfly- and ball-valve automation, the SQ and SQEx ranges replace the company’s established SG and SGExC part-turn actuator ranges. Compared with the predecessor product, the new series offers a significantly wider torque range, now covering 50 to 2,400 Nm. Further enhancements include diagnostics and asset-management functionality. — AUMA Riester GmbH & Co. KG, Müllhein, Germany
