Nanoparticle characterization with a single instrument
By integrating two different light sources into a single instrument, this company unites the functionality of both a near infrared and blue particle sizers. The Multiwavelength LUMSizer 65x is designed for the fast characterization of manifold separation and consolidation phenomena, as well as for the quantification of separation velocities and particle-size distributions according to ISO 13318. Prior to the launch of this device, two separate instruments were required for particle characterization in nanotechnology. Typical applications include soft drinks and flavor emulsions. With the LUMSizer, stability tests (ISO TR 13097) are up to 5,000 times faster than the traditional test-tube tests. And with this single instrument it is possible to characterize beverage concentrates (using NIR) and dilute beverage emulsions (using blue wavelengths). — L.U.M. GmbH, Berlin, Germany
