Flexibility and abrasion resistance offered by this diaphragm
The new DEPA Nopped S Diaphragm features an innovative “nopped” surface, designed to create advantageous flow conditions emulating the effect of golf-ball dimples. The use of Santoprene as its core material — a substance uniting elastomer (EPDM) and polypropylene — in synergy with its chemical and mechanical properties offers enhanced flexibility and resistance against abrasion. These diaphragms are designed for applications in chemical industries, such as basic chemicals, paints, varnishes, coatings and heavy-duty industries. They are freely interchangeable between various models of DEPA pumps, and are available in five sizes between ½ and 3 in. The diaphragms can operate within temperatures of –20 to 110°C and pressures up to 7 bars. — Crane ChemPharma Flow Solutions, Düsseldorf, Germany
