A new design for this explosion protection assembly

This company has announced a new design for its HRD Lockout Assembly. This explosion-protection product is a mechanical barrier used to prevent an accidental discharge of an explosion-suppression container into the process vessel during maintenance and cleaning of the vessel and protection system. The HRD Lockout’s new primary sensor and magnet electronically disable the explosion-protection controller when the gate is not the full open position, the company says. The new lockout assembly features a simplified design with easy-to-install electronics, stainless-steel construction and an optional secondary sensor for safe condition monitoring, the company adds. The device is available in 4- and 6-in. sizes. — Fike Corp., Blue Springs, Mo.
